Bamboo
Extract of the bamboo plant contains 70% natural silica, an organic compound that works to keep skin looking healthy, smooth and radiant. Rich in amino acids and flavonoids, bamboo extract also protects skin from oxidative stress and strengthens the skin’s barrier.


Caper Floral Bud
Capers are rich in rutin content. Rutin is a bioflavonoid that makes the capillaries stronger and relieves symptoms from conditions, such as rosacea (which causes flushing and excessive redness and often small, red, pus-filled bumps commonly mistaken for acne or a skin allergy). Capers also contain another bioflavonoid called quercetin, which possesses antibacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities. Thus, caper floral bud extract helps decrease flushing, bumps, irritation and skin infections.

L-Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C)
Vitamin C is water-soluble antioxidant and the most plentiful antioxidant found naturally in the skin. Its biologically active form, L-ascorbic acid, is a cofactor in collagen synthesis. L-ascorbic acid has also been shown to inhibit the formation of the “sunburn cells” on the skin biopsies, meaning it prevents the major marker of immediate damage from UVB exposure. Long-term use of L-ascorbic acid is associated with skin brightening, including minimizing the appearance of melasma, solar lentigos (darkened skin from sun exposure) and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Because L-ascorbic acid also helps with collagen formation, it increases skin smoothness and diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Diatomaceous earth is a naturally occurring, chalk-like sedimentary rock that is easily crumbled into a white to off-white powder. It is used in cosmetics as an exfoliant due to its ability to absorb excess oil without caking or clumping. Diatomaceous earth also detoxifies skin, supporting improved skin health.

Sea Salt
The particular mineral composition found in the salt extracted from the ancient Dead Sea and used in afa products, helps soothe inflammation from sunburns, eczema, rosacea and acne. Additionally, minerals and sea salt aids in detoxifying and improving mineral and moisture balances in the skin.

Apply a thin layer to clean, wet skin. Half a pump of product is enough to cover the face sufficiently. Gently massage into skin for thirty to sixty seconds. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and pat dry.
Use two to three times weekly.
Follow with your favorite treatment product and moisturizer.
